Disney is a company who used the heroes everytime for teach some life lesson. Firstly Disney used princesses for the young girl. These princesses were often white with an European physic. For exemple you’ve got snow-white or Belle in « The beauty and the beast ».
Their story have the same plot : A princess who need help and who’s sad, so she meet a Prince and all of her problems are gone. But if you left this recurring part of the story you’ve got a morality. « does not trust strangers », « Does not include the physical appearence »…
So the problem was more a cultural problem because as I said This princesses was always an European model but fortunately Disney changed this with other cultural model for all the kids who need a model that looks just like they with Mulan in the Asia, Pocahontas for the Native American or more recently the princess and the frog for the African community.
These last are more heavy than the first statement. Mulan explain why a girl can do anything like a man or better than a man, Pocahontas teach the legend of the same named girl of course with a romentical part but they kept the strong minded girl with an another culture than this population. Recently this company deviate from the template and teach in the famous film Frozen how a girl don’t need a prince or a boyfriend in general.
To conclude along the way Disney create new characters for explain to the children a morality whitout a conform character ; Or a repetitive story who have the magic final.
It’s maybe for demonstrate how the life is and why you don’t have the same experience like your friend for exemple ; Or not worring if you don’t look like your friend because, you can be different than the other without be a monster. Its important to teach this for the young kids who don’t have an idea of the life ; Because if you teach this from an early age they can understan the world around them and don’t be afraid .
